International student at Rønde Højskole

At Rønde Højskole we aim to include all our international students as much as possible - so even though many meetings and assemblies are held in Danish, we always translate what's being said into English using a state-of-the-art interpretation set.

During our long term courses Spring and autumn some classes are taught in English. You can mix your own schedule but there are some compulsory subjects.

Compulsory subjects.
These are Danish(if you do not speak Danish already), ethnic cooking and IT. All students, Danish and international, follow 'open lesson' every Friday. This lesson can be about political news, an update for next week or maybe you would like to give a lecture on you home country.

Once a week all students attend a meeting -elevmøde. Here the student find matters they want to discuss with the teachers when teachers and students meet at the weekly 'folkemøde'.

Optional subjects
You are free to mix the compulsory lessons with any of the other subjects we offer.  

Weeks with different thematic subjects offered
Some weeks during the long course are dedicated to other subject matters as the regular ones. Sometimes the regular schematic themes are here elaborated upon.

Study tour
One week during the course everybody leaves the school to spend a week somewhere else. We have previously been to Romania, India, Norway and Copenhagen. In a studytour we make a programme where we visit local schools, political institutions, religious sights mixed with beautyful hikes.

January at Rønde Højskole

Every year in January we offer a special course 'Valuable qualifications'. Would you like to improve your skills in connection with project management , teambuilding and production? Would you like to clarify your personal values and assets and would you like to discover  new  aspects of  your own personality? We will  help you to clarify these aspects.
